How the Warriors can advance in the in-season tournament with a win against Sacramento

SAN FRANCISCO — Despite a six-game losing streak, suspensions and disarray, the Warriors have a chance to win their in-season tournament group and advance to the quarterfinal. The odds aren’t that bad, but they have to win the final group-play game. If they beat the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday and the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier that day, the Warriors win their Group C. If Minnesota beats Oklahoma City, the Warriors will have to beat the Kings by a substantial point differential to win a three-way tiebreaker over Sacramento and Minnesota, as all three would be 3-1 in group play.“It’ll be fun. A lot of fun. It’ll be a lot like Game 7, the atmosphere, the excitement, the angst,” said Draymond Green, who returns from his five-game suspension for Tuesday’s game. “The feeling I’m expecting is that i’ll feel like a Game 7.”Heading into Tuesday’s games, the Warriors have a plus-5 point ...Pac-12 bowl projections: CFP bid seems likely as UW, Oregon collide, but New Year’s Six berths await both

Helpful reminders on the postseason selection process before we plunge into the latest Pac-12 bowl forecast:— The Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will host the College Football Playoff semifinals, leaving the Pac-12 champion to participate in the Fiesta, Peach or Cotton bowls unless it qualifies for the CFP.— The Pac-12 is contractually tied to seven games this season: the New Year’s Six, Alamo, Las Vegas, Holiday, Sun, LA and Independence bowls. If there are more eligible teams than available spots, the conference will attempt to secure invitations to other bowls with vacancies.Victories by Washington and Oregon last weekend didn’t secure a College Football Playoff berth for the Pac-12. The conference could end up on the outside of the four-team event once again. But the undefeated Huskies and one-loss Ducks have seemingly clinched spots in the New Year’s Six — and the cash windfall that comes with it — regardless of the outcome of the conference title game Friday ...Elon Musk’s Cybertruck is already a production nightmare for Tesla

By Dana Hull | BloombergThe Cybertruck hasn’t even hit the market yet, and Elon Musk already is lamenting that Tesla Inc. has dug its own grave. Its stainless steel body may be able to withstand bullets and arrows, but it’s going to be a bear putting the panels together. It will be Tesla’s first high-voltage vehicle, offering the benefit of faster charging, but also potential pitfalls. And it will be Tesla’s only product dependent on in-house battery cells that are years behind schedule. In these respects and others, the Cybertruck will be a big step backward from how Tesla has progressed in its approach to carmaking. The last vehicle Musk spoke about the way he’s described the Cybertruck was the Model X, the sport utility vehicle that’s never reached high volumes because of what its chief executive officer described on several occasions as hubris.“Model X became kind of like a technology bandwagon of every cool thing we could imagine all at once,” Musk said of the SUV in May 2017. “T...Woman arrested for allegedly stealing Amazon packages in Piedmont

BERN, Switzerland (AP) — Switzerland coach Murat Yakin has kept his job for next year’s European Championship after the national soccer federation on Tuesday resisted calls to fire him.The Swiss qualified for Euro 2024 despite a run of eight qualifying games since June when the team beat only Andorra. Leads were wasted by conceding late goals amid reports of tension between the coach and senior players Granit Xhaka and Manuel Akanji. The vote of confidence came four days before Yakin is due at the Euro 2024 draw in Hamburg, Germany.“Even though we have drawn four matches and lost once in the last qualifying matches, Murat Yakin has our full confidence,” Swiss soccer federation president Dominique Blanc said in a statement.Yakin’s hold on the job seemed shakier after Swiss coach Urs Fischer became available after being fired by Union Berlin, which he led from Germany’s second division to the Champions League.Speculation also centered on Lucien Favre, the former coach of Bo...The family of an infant hostage pleads for his release before the Israel-Hamas truce winds down

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Kfir Bibas has spent nearly a fifth of his life as a Hamas hostage. The 10-month-old was taken from his home in a southern Israeli kibbutz on Oct. 7, when Palestinian militants abducted about 240 people and dragged them to Gaza.Kfir was the youngest of about 30 children who were taken hostage. Under a current temporary cease-fire, Hamas has released women, children and teens, but the infant with red hair and a toothless smile hasn’t been included on the lists of those set to be freed, according to his family. With most other young hostages already released, Kfir’s fate and that of his 4-year-old brother, Ariel, are now a rallying cry for Israelis seeking the speedy release of all the hostages. A demonstration in support of the Bibas family was held in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.“There is no precedent for something like this, for a baby who was kidnapped when he was 9 months old,” Eylon Keshet, a cousin of Kfir’s father, told reporters. “Is baby Kfir the enemy of Hamas...NCAA FBS Individual Receptions Per Game
